Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be a member of the executive leadership team and be a key strategic partner to the stakeholders providing value-added advice on HR practices. You will be responsible for planning and leading the full spectrum of HR strategies and programmes, including total rewards, performance management, recruitment & retention, employee engagement, talent development and health & safety programmes. This role will manage a sizable HR team and a population of 5,000 across Canada.
We are looking for a seasoned HR professional with a minimum of 15 years of HR experience gained from sizable corporations. We are particularly looking for Chinese-speaking HR professionals currently residing in Canada or Chinese nationals looking to move back to Canada having lived there previously. You will have worked in a fast-paced environment and an industry background in retail would be ideal. You will be familiar with Canadian HR legislations while having exposure to Asian culture. This role also requires:
• Degree qualification
• Chinese language fluency in either Cantonese or Mandarin
• Travelling of up to 30% nationwide
• A strong leader with an out-going and committed personality
