We are partnering with one of the world’s largest food and beverage organizations, originating from Italy, with an expansive presence across North America, Japan, Brazil, Germany, Turkey, and various other regions. 

As the company experiences growth and navigates through change management, based in New York City, we are looking for a seasoned Benefits Director to lead the benefits strategy for employees across the North American region.

  • Global and Strategic Role (North America, approx. 4000 employees)
  • Reporting to the VP of Human Resources and managing a small team of 4-5
  • Operating within a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
  • Based in Manhattan, NYC (Hybrid, three days in office and two days remote)

As the Director of Benefits, you will collaborate with the VP of HR and the VP of Finance to set the strategic direction. Your role will involve designing, implementing, and overseeing the benefits and wellness strategy, focusing on wellness, retention, and market competitiveness.

Key responsibilities include managing benefit plans, overseeing open enrollment and new offerings, and addressing employee queries. You will ensure compliance with laws and manage leave of absence, workers' compensation, and retirement programs such as 401k and the Non-Qualified Deferral Program, while optimizing benefits within budget constraints.

We are looking for someone agile and proactive with excellent communication skills, as this person will contribute to build a comprehensive communication strategy for all benefit policies, procedures, and wellness programs.

 

To be successful in this role , You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, with minimum 10+ years of progressive benefits experience.
  • Experience managing multiple benefits plans and strong knowledge of benefits, retirement, Workers' Compensation, and Leave Management
  • Expertise in federal and state regulations (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, Sec. 125, FMLA)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership and team development experience.
  • Exceptional project and time-management skills with the ability to operate strategically and hands-on.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
