Our client, a fast-growing global leader in eCommerce technology, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Global Head of Workplace Experience to lead optimization and strategy for their global team. This is a newly created role that offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within a pre-IPO tech firm.

The Global Head of Workplace Experience will play a pivotal role in supporting our client's rapid growth. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive real estate strategy that aligns with the company's growth objectives and financial goals for offices in New York, Seattle, Sydney, London, Tokyo, and Calgary. 

This includes identifying and evaluating potential office locations, negotiating favorable lease terms and conditions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors to create efficient and innovative office layouts. Additionally, you will lead the scoping, budgeting, and negotiation processes with vendors and contractors to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.

You will oversee the ongoing operation of facilities, ensuring they remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. This includes handling repairs, maintenance, and vendor management to provide a top-notch work environment for employees.

You will also be responsible with crafting a world-class people experience strategy. This includes managing daily in-office work experiences, the Meet & Eat program, inventory management, cleaning staff, all-staff meetings, new starter orientation logistics, internal events, social clubs, and employee resource groups. You will lead a team dedicated to ensuring a positive daily in-office experience and efficiently handling maintenance requests, fostering an engaging and supportive workplace culture.


Must Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of 8+ years in real estate management, with experience in commercial leasing, site selection, and project management, including making presentations to the C-Suite or Board as appropriate.
  • Experience operating with budgets exceeding $15M and managing to an employee base of 800+.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to secure favorable lease terms and conditions.
  • Excellent financial acumen, with experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


Compensation: $240-$270 base salary, plus employee equity plan grant & world-class benefits; TC up to $450,000
