Based in NY, our client is a global financial services organization renowned for providing high-quality, distinctive, and relevant investment capabilities.

It's a uniquely crafted hybrid role, positioned as a sole HR Business Partner leading the US office, while also playing a pivotal role as a global talent and learning partner.

  • Global role working in a matrix organization
  • Primarily reporting to the Head of HR, EMEA & US, and secondly to the Global Head of Talent and Leadership.
  • Working closely with Talent & Learning stakeholders worldwide (Sydney, London, Edinburgh, Hong Kong, Singapore), so the ability to work flexibly across time zones is important.
  • Fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative work environment.
  • Hybrid schedule, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

 

Key Focus Areas in this role:

US Business Partnering 

  • Facilitate People & Culture services in the US, connecting with the global team and broader business. 
  • Provide strategic HR advice, coach leaders to model great leadership, and ensure local regulatory and market developments are integrated into global strategies.
  • Identify and address gaps and risks from a commercial, people, and talent perspective. 
  • Deep expertise in core HR disciplines, including local employment laws, with hands-on experience in implementing policies related to diversity and inclusion, performance management, compensation and benefits, talent management, talent acquisition, change management, and employee relations.

Global Learning Partner

  • Collaborate with the Global Head of Talent on Talent, Leadership, and Culture initiatives.
  • Oversee the global Leadership Fundamentals program, managing communications, logistics, budget, and effectiveness.
  • Assist in identifying training needs and providing training solutions.
  • Manage and coach the Learning & Development Coordinator and Talent and Learning Consultant.

Local DE&I Lead

  • Partner with the DEI Manager and Employee Community Leads to champion the DEI agenda in the US.

  

In addition, you must have:

 

  • Minimum 5 years of HR Business Partner experience, preferably within financial services, with a focus on asset management.
  • Business acumen and a proven track record of strategically advising the business on people and culture matters.
  • Proven technical experience within L&D, with current knowledge of effective learning and development methods.
  • Familiarity with a matrix reporting environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and influencing abilities with diverse stakeholders.
  • Superior organizational and project management skills, data literacy, analytical acumen, and a proactive, adaptable mindset.
  • Experience in team leadership is a strong plus.
