Vice President, APAC Employee Relations (leading global investment bank)

Responsibilities:  

  • Management of employee relations policies and procedures, in compliance with labor laws and regulations. Ownership of all HR policies and the Employee Handbook. Identify process and enhancement improvements to existing policies and procedures. 
  • Owner of employee grievance investigations, such as employee misconduct, harassment, discrimination, or any other violation of company policies, partnering with relevant business stakeholders and HR business partners. 
  • Provide advice and support to employees and managers on various employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.   
  • Keep abreast of the employment regulations and practice across APAC locations to ensure HR operational processes are delivered efficiently and in compliance with local regulations, enforce adherence and mitigate any potential risks.  
  • Oversee and participate in HR projects which involve change of existing HR policies and processes in line with local legal and statutory requirements.  
  • Represent the organization in relevant employee forums within APAC and negotiate with employee representatives on behalf of the company. 
  • Partner with employment legal on complex ER matters and being the liaison with legal to secure guidance and inputs for the business. 

 

  

Requirements:  

  • Minimum 8 years ER experience from a top tier financial services firm
  • Coverage of APAC markets with relevant statutory knowledge
