Uma runs her own international HR consulting business from London and joined Elliott Scott HR in September 2017.  

Prior to this, Uma spent over 20 years in senior HR roles across Europe, the Middle East, North America, Asia and Australasia. She has a wealth of directly relevant cross-cultural practitioner experience having worked with the global heads of multiple business lines at ANZ Banking Group Limited, AXA Rosenberg, Deutsche Bank, Cable & Wireless and NatWest.  

Uma has operated at C-Suite level dealing with topics including regulatory reform, diversity and inclusion, talent acquisition, transformation, succession planning and change management. 

Uma is also Acting President on the board of the City Women’s network, one of the longest established independent organisations for senior professional and business women in the UK, committed to furthering the professional and personal development of female talent in business.

Uma is a CIPD accredited HR professional, NLP Practitioner and Strengthscope coach. 

She is passionate about developing top talent from an ethics, professional integrity and values-led, perspective. She is fluent in Hindi and Gujarati, and was born in Uganda.
