
Role overview
A Chief HR Officer will oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, development, retention, and succession planning. A major focus within the role is driving diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives to build an inclusive workplace.
The role also involves ensuring compliance with employment legislation and best practices in HR, collaborating with senior leadership to align HR strategies with organisational needs and requirements, managing employee relations, performance management, engagement programmes, and designing and overseeing competitive compensation and benefits structures.

Typical role requirements
The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate a track record of being a senior HR leadership role holder in a complex environment, ideally. They should be able to show a successful HR strategies development and execution, and knowledge of UK employment law and global HR practices.
Strong leadership and people management skills are essential, along with exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities. The role requires a strategic mindset with the ability to translate business goals into HR initiatives.
Qualifications such as a CIPD (Level 7) or equivalent is preferred, along with a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, but experience is always taken into account.
