Job Description

My client is a medium-sized financial services company looking for a Benefits Specialist to manage and administer employee benefits across all areas of the company.



  • Co-ordinate annual benefits scheme renewals 
  • Manage the relationships with benefits providers and brokers 
  • Manage the processing and communication of benefits
  • Manage Life Assurance and Group Income Protection claims
  • Conduct regular data audits
  • Prepare benefit reports for the Payroll Team 
  • Check, reconcile and process invoicing relating to all benefits and benefits renewals 
  • Prepare and submit annual benefit survey submissions
  • Manage the system administration for pension auto-enrolment 
  • Manage administration of Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution pension schemes
  • Assist with the preparation and running of pension governance meetings
  • Manage all internal and external audit queries
  • Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required



  • Experience working with benefits for a professional services organisation 
  • Proven experience in managing and administering employee benefits
  • Highly organised and able to plan multiple tasks to agreed deadlines
  • Advanced excel and PowerPoint skills 
  • Ability to extract, analyse and present data
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
  • Be knowledgeable of UK legislative changes relevant for payroll and benefits, keeping up to date with PAYE tax and NI changes
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage work requests working to tight timescales whilst maintaining quality
  • Resilience 
  • A high performing, motivated individual who strives for continuous improvement
  • Self starter and willing to take ownership of defined processes without supervision
  • Tax year end processing including P11D’s
