Director, HR & Recruiting – NY, WA or CA
A Technology firm experiencing high-growth is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Director, HR & Recruiting to join their team! This role is open to be based in New York City, Seattle or San Francisco. The Director, HR & Recruiting will play a pivotal role in the development of the company as the first designated HR professional in the firm.

As the designated Recruiter for the company, you will own end-to-end recruiting for key roles across the business. Expect to design and implement overall recruiting strategy and provide insight and guidance to stakeholders around roles and compensation guidelines. As for general Human Resources duties, expect to serve as the contact point for all HR initiatives, systems, and work as a business partner on talent management, learning & development, performance management, workforce planning, compensation & benefits and employee/labor relations functions.
The ideal candidate has prior success in leading a start-up, working to build out and grow the business. Prior experience as a Recruiter is required, as are strong technical skills, a data-driven mentality and sound business judgement. Strong project management skills, attention to detail and ability to cater to a variety of stakeholders is a must.
You must have:
- At least 7-10 years’ HR experience leading a startup or building out a growing business
- End-to-end recruitment expertise
- Ability to manage, train and motivate a growing team
- High-touch relationship management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- A Bachelor’s degree
