Job Description

Our client is a leading global investment group looking to hire an EMEA HR Manager/Generalis (VP). This newly created position will report to the Head of International People Operations (London).

Responsibilities:

  • Full generalist and operational remit across EMEA – act as an advisor for employees on all HR related queries and driver of core People Operations workflows
  • Mobility
    • Immigration – point person for all immigration/visa related enquiries for all internal stakeholders and candidates, including working through complex and varied cases and having the ability to find creative solutions to unique immigration circumstances
    • Responsible for the maintenance of active visa holder records and the end-end immigration process in region. 
    • Completion of UK Resident Labour Market test - advertising, tracking and review of candidates for Tier 2 UK applications
    • Relocation – assist with all International relocations working with external vendors
  • Onboarding
    • Assist with the onboarding process of all new hires for all EMEA offices as required including, but not limited to;
      1. Adjudication of background checks and escalation point for issues with vendor, internal teams, or candidate
      2. Updates to New Hire Orientation deck
      3. Delivery of New Hire Orientation for all EMEA employees; liaising with Legal and Compliance, Technology and Facilities colleagues on relevant training and all regulatory approved positions under SMCR
      4. Data management: distribution and processing of new hire paperwork to ensure timely benefits enrolment and accurate employee records

• Recruitment

  • Be the first point of contact for the review of all offer letters for roles in region
  • Understand the remuneration code for the UK and Ireland, and have the ability to work through unique challenges and find creative solutions to individual roles and candidate requirements
  • Liaise and maintain relationships with recruiting teams as well as hiring managers

• Compensation and Benefits

  • Partner with global compensation team (US-based) on all compensatory offer documents and contingency agreements
  • Ensure all local regulatory remuneration guidelines are followed and applied when considering unique offer packages
  • Assist to administer benefits programmes in the EMEA offices, advise employees on local benefit policies, and manage employee benefits queries
  • Liaise with and update US-based benefits team regularly on all employee benefit related issues

• Data and Risk Management

  • Produce and analyse monthly headcount reports for EMEA Operating Committees
  • Ensure all documents are filed appropriately and that HR systems reflect correct information. Maintain employee files

• Employee Relations : ad hoc; leading investigations and case management and coordination of all aspects of employee separations

• Learning & Development : partner with US-based team to assist with administration for all training programs, gathering intel on employee surveys and feedback and preparation of handouts as required

• Payroll : partner with Finance team to ensure monthly payroll instructions are accurate (New Hires, Maternity/Paternity leave, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Degree strongly preferred
  • Experience in the Financial Services industry, including regulatory regime experience
  • Good working knowledge of UK immigration, strong knowledge/International exposure preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, experience with Outlook a plus but not required
  • Workday experience a plus
  • Excellent data entry skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work on your own initiative
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with exceptional follow-through
  • Team player, self-starter
  • Exposure to a Recruiting environment a big plus

Other Qualifications:

  • Solid track record in a similar position, preferably with regulatory experience
  • The successful candidate will be an ambitious self-starter who has demonstrated the ability to function independently in a dynamic, fast-paced, and demanding environment. 
  • This person will have highly developed organizational skills and will be intellectually curious, intuitive, and have the highest ethical standards. 
  • This person will be capable of keeping proprietary and sensitive information confidential. 
  • This person will be proactive and will seek ways to contribute to the team and to the firm. 
  • In addition, they will add value by working on a number of simultaneous projects with minimal supervision and exemplary follow-through.
