Job title: Group Head of HR

 

London:  Hybrid Working

 

Our client is an innovative and growing financial services business looking to hire a Group Head of HR. This will be an all-encompassing role to have global oversight for the people function. The role will act as the first point of contact for stakeholder management and be responsible for driving culture change projects, business transformation, learning & talent development strategies. You will be managing a small team in HR and therefore requires an operational and hands on approach balanced with a strategic mindset.

 

Responsibilities:

• Develop and embed a consistent HR Business Partnership strategy and model to best support the needs of the business

• Contribute to and drive the overall HR strategy, to ensure alignment to the business strategy

• Drive and support alignment of all HR related processes, policies and procedures with the business and best practice

• Assist and advise the department head with staffing, performance management, people development, succession planning and employee relations matters

• Ensure HR metrics are effectively utilized with business units to respond appropriately to people priorities, issues and challenges and to drive the HR agenda

• Overseeing the recruitment process, on/off boarding, employee development, change management, HR reports and projects etc

• Monitor industry/market trends and provide recommendations for change/improvement to internal ways of working accordingly to best anticipate and respond to changes

• Build strong and trusted relationships with Executives and Senior Leaders to raise credibility and to develop a deep knowledge and understanding of business strategies, key business priorities, issues and challenges

• Provide expert and technical advice and guidance to the business and to the wider HR team to ensure HR services and management of its people resources is cost efficient, effective and compliant with best practice/legislation/regulatory standards

• Identify and communicate potential people issues and opportunities to influence the business to recognize and take appropriate action Develop a learning culture in HR to share and develop skills and capability in people management, organizational design and appropriate culture development

• Lead and contribute to change management initiatives to identify and ensure any people issues

• Advise on employment law related risks when structuring market entry

• Lead all interactions with the board of directors from an HR perspective

• Lead all efforts on behalf of the firm regarding equity incentives and general administration of equity based incentive schemes

 

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Human Resources Management or related disciplines

• At least 10 years of relevant HR engagement experience

• Proven track record of being adaptable to manage a team and support the group

• Talent strategy, performance management, change management, and executive relationship building

• Experience handling employment law matters in multiple jurisdictions

• Experience in equity compensation design and administration (option plans, RSU plans, etc)

• Pro-active and a self starter

• Start up experience is an advantage

• Excellent communication skills in English (written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal), other languages a plus (German, Cantonese or French)
