Job Description

An international investment bank with a growing presence in the region is looking for a confident and proactive senior HR professional to join its team as Head of HR for Asia Pacific.   

  • Mixture of both operational and strategic HR
  • Fast paced, demanding working environment
  • Front office banking coverage


In this role you will be required to build effective relationships with managers at all levels of the organisation, providing guidance and coaching on high level employee relations, performance and development issues.  You will work with the Head of HR for International to drive the HR strategy for Asia Pacific, planning and executing various HR initiatives and projects with a specific focus on talent, engagement, succession planning, reward and development.  In addition to having responsibility for the training and development of the HR team you will have ownership of the recruitment and HR operations functions in the region and as such will have accountability for the continual improvement of HR policies and procedures.  Finally you will also get involved in change management projects to assess whether the organisational structures are in place to help deliver on the bank’s key business strategies.


The ideal candidate will be university educated with a degree in human resource or other business related subject, and will possess strong influencing and negotiation skills. You should have a strong commercial awareness and possess outstanding HR business partnering skills.  In addition to having a firm grasp of regional employment laws and HR related regulatory and compliance procedures, we are also looking for:

  • Minimum ten years’ human resources experience within banking
  • Previous experience leading an HR team covering both operational and strategic aspects
  • Highly articulate with strong written and spoken English language skills including effective presentation skills and ability to influence
