Job Description

My client is a large international law firm going through a major change in the HR department. Specifically they are rolling out the compensation part of their HRIS and need to obtain global alignment across many different senior stakeholders. They are looking to hire an experienced Business analyst to help deliver global process mapping and manage the change programme globally. This is a role for an individual who thrives on being part of a demanding and complex business transformation project, and using extensive technical skills to offer pragmatic but innovative solutions.

You must be commercially astute and dynamic, and able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the technical issues that are key to your clients.  You will have strong experience of working across process mapping and implementation.  Energetic and enthusiastic, you will have the skills, knowledge and attributes to work flexibly and autonomously within our fast moving and changing environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the International business teams to understand all processes and business rules associated with the Annual Compensation Salary Review and Bonus process
  • Plan discovery/requirement gathering workshops and associated content to achieve the optimum results from sessions globally
  • Facilitate discovery sessions globally
  • Evaluation of requirements gathering workshop results.
  • Define reporting and alerting requirements
  • Analysis to identify consistent processes and synergies at an international level whilst establishing local requirements that cannot be changed
  • Document output from sessions and achieve required sign off from key business stakeholders
  • Work with Project Manager to define the Request for Proposal including detailed Business Requirements that will be used as part of the Tender process
  • Develop "As Is" and "To Be" visio process maps
  • Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate training sessions for users as part of  User Acceptance Testing delivery and subsequent delivery's
  • Perform user Acceptance Testing and support Test Analyst in definition of Test scenarios and Test Scripts
  • Identify and communicate project related issues, changes or risks to Project Manager
  • Assist with the maintenance of project related information 


  • Extensive background working as a Business Analyst  and experience of process mapping
  • Experience working with Oracle or Workday 
  • Solid Visio and Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience working with HR and understanding of HR processes, especially compensation and HR systems
  • Experience in analysing data to draw business- relevant conclusions 
  • Proven experience in eliciting requirements and testing
  • Ability to define a problem and assist in solution identification
  • Strong planning, organising and time management skills with the ability to deal with conflicting demands 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the business
  • A positive "can-do" attitude and approach to responsibilities with an ability to meet new challenges and changes with an open mind
  • Able to manage own time and planning
  • Must be a self-starter and thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to produce results to demanding deadlines and work on a number of key issues simultaneously
