HR Business Partner – Financial Services - Jersey City


Our client is a leading Financial Services firm and they are seeking a knowledgeable HR Business Partner to join their team. You will be relied on to provide counsel and guidance around key employee matters, as well as cultivate the firm’s dynamic culture. This position will be based in Jersey City, NJ with need for occasional travel to offices in Pearl River, NY and New York City, NY.

In this role, you will use your HR knowledge and experience to proactively partner with business line leaders, employees and the broader HR team to provide strategic support and advice throughout the Northeast region. As a true business partner, you will provide support and guidance across the full range of HR services in order to enhance the capability of the organization including: strategic change management, compliance, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits and compensation.


We are ideally looking for someone with a strong, business partnering background from reputable, international brands specifically within the Professional Services space. We are also looking for a dedicated individual with a high level of business acumen who is able to see potential issues before they arise and find alternative long term solutions. As the firm continues to expand through strategic acquisitions, the ability to remain organized and work efficiently will be of great importance, as will be strong leadership and consulting capabilities. 


You Must Have:

  • 6+ years relevant business partnering experience (Financial Services preferred)
  • Exceptional relationship management and interpersonal skills
  • Strong ability to build cross functional and regional relationships
  • Previous M&A experience is required  
  • A Bachelor’s degree in HR or HRM
