Our client is a private hedge fund with a sought after brand name and strong reputation for being innovative.

 

Duties

This is a generalist HR role with a particular responsibility for our HR information Systems (HRIS). Your day-to-day responsibilities will be inclusive of general HR activities, providing support and guidance to the HR team (from senior to junior team members), managing HR projects and being the system expert within the HR team. 

 

  • Full generalist remit to support the work within the department 

  • Administration work to support own tasks and provide support across the HR Department as and when required 

  • Provide first-line assistance with HR queries from employees ensuring matters are dealt with to a high standard and in a timely manner 

  • Complete and assist with tasks for senior team members within the HR team 

  • Prepare London payroll and check output Projects 

  • Assist with annual salary and compensation review 

  • Annual P11D process including collating and coordinating the data transfer to the payroll provider and providing first review of the P11D file 

  • Assisting with annual benefit renewals, collating data, communicating proposals to the team and drafting benefit communications to staff throughout the year 

  • Proactively streamline processes and systems to improve ways of working HRIS 

  • Being the first point of contact within the HR team for system implementation and ongoing maintenance 

  • Collaborating with the global HR team and other stakeholders to determine HRIS needs 

  • Working collaboratively with other departments including IT and Payroll, delivering a cohesive approach to systems and data 

  • Performing system upgrades, as well as providing training and user support 

  • Identifying and progressing any improvements to be made to systems and data quality 

  • Maintaining databases, analysing data, ensuring data integrity, and running queries 

  • Provide training and accompanying materials to new HR and other users within the business 

  • Developing and establishing key HR metrics and reporting mechanisms for the benefit of stakeholders, including the use of self-service reporting tools 

  • Act as the first technical point of contact for queries from employees 

 

Requirements

  • Recent experience gained in a generalist HR role with at least 3 years' experience 

  • Financial Services industry experience is essential and ideally within Investment/Asset Management 

  • Must have suitable HRIS experience from within financial services 

  • Experience in analysing HRIS performance metrics and improving processes 

  • Experience of engaging with stakeholders to develop requirements and identify solutions/compromises 

  • A proven track record/solid understanding of HR compliance requirements and basic employment law

  • Self-motivated, proactive 

  • Ability to perform well under pressure 

  • Enthusiastic, flexible and adaptable 

  • Ability to work effectively and independently as well as part of a team 

  • Strong interpersonal skills 

  • Outstanding attention to detail, ability to work at pace, whilst methodically checking own 
    work

  • Highly proficient user of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel (v-look ups and pivot tables) 

  • Strong problem-solving skills 

  • Process and detail driven 

  • Excellent people skills 

  • UK Payroll experience
