HR Manager – New York City
A leading Moving & Storage company is looking to appoint an HR Manager to be based in New York City. The HR Manager will work closely with the company President and advise senior executives around to develop a comprehensive human capital strategy.

The HR Manager will play a critical role leading the HR function and various high-impact projects for the business. Expect to mentor and manage a small team and develop strategies around recruitment and retention. Your role is truly generalist and will also work across performance management, succession planning, compensation, health & welfare benefits, training and development, compliance, and labor relations functions.
We are ideally looking for someone with a strong generalist background and expertise in HR best practices. We are also looking for an individual who has the depth of HR experience in order to better serve the business, but at the same time, willing to roll up their sleeves in order to do the operational and implementation aspects of the role. You must have at least 2 years’ experience leading a team of at least 2 direct reports.
You Must Have:
- 6 to 8 years of HR generalist experience
- Previous management experience with at least 2 direct reports
- Strong stakeholder management experience – proven influencing and negotiation skills
- Understanding of US employment ordinances and standards
- Preferred if your HR experience comes from the Relocation/Logistics industry
