Job Description

Responsible for supporting the implementation of regional and local Human Resource (HR) initiative HR initiatives include but not limited to planning, on, selection, engagement, and development, in order to align to the direction/vision. Also, responsible for providing sound HR advice to support decision making on HR issues including but not limited to recruitment, termination of employment, organizational change, performance management and reward.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Strategic:

  • To provide strategic advice and support for regional / local HR initiatives and people related agenda that meet the needs of business transformation.

Financial:

  • To govern HR related cost via managing staff salary costs through offer negotiation at Hiring and bringing down recruitment expense through managing agency fee and relations

  • To promote direct sourcing to hiring managers and managing Talent Acquisition team’s direct sourcing efficiency

  • To contribute to business expense control initiatives through proactive headcount management and ensure hiring costs are reasonably spent and justified.

  • To streamline HR processes and enhancing operational efficiencies

Customer:

  • To develop and maintain strong stakeholder management with internal clients and key stakeholders

  • To advise respective business leaders/managers with staffing, international mobility, performance management, people development, succession planning, and employee relations matters in a timely and professional manner; and provide credible challenge where necessary

  • To work in partnership with colleagues across the region to support the implementation of regional projects at a branch level.

  • To work in partnership with various departments to influence the adoption of global and regional HR policies and processes in the Branch to drive market relevant, cost effective and compliant practices

  • To work in partnership with various HR service vendors or external legal consultants to seek HR advice and services.

  • To partner with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition Team to support the recruitment process

  • To act as a subject matter expert and share best practices on all HR related topics

  • To ensure recruitment efficiency through employer branding strategies

People:

  • To support business in completing regional talent review exercise and identifying talents with robust succession plan in place

  • To act as a role model to team members and adhere to all company policies/ guidelines.

  • To support, coach and guide team members on complex HR issues.

Other/Control - HR Practice and Governance:

  • To ensure all HR practices and processes are in compliance with internal procedure and regulatory requirements

  • To collaborate and partner closely with regional/global HRBPs and Centre of Excellence (COE) in driving HR initiatives

  • To refine processes and procedures to follow audit requirements

  • To manage the delivery of key annual HR processes including but not limited to annual review process, performance management, talent management and engagement survey.

  • To maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations.

 

Background:

  • At least 7 years HRBP experience from a leading global financial organisation

  • Must be already based in HK with a valid HKID
