This is a new position reporting to the Global Head of L&D based in the US. We are looking for someone to be based in either Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur or Singapore.
This is the first role of its kind in the APAC region and it is working for an expanding tech firm that are heavily dispersed across the region. This regarded very much as a start-up role with no initial team to support (however the plan is to build one) that will focus heavily on the management and key stakeholders within the firm. You will be required to build a career pathway for key people in the organisation, focusing on the development of their soft skills and essentially building a talent management framework that will enable the business to keep growing.
Being a start-up role we are looking for someone with experience of a smaller company culture and who isn’t afraid of ambiguity. The first 12 months of this role will be crucial and it will be all hands on deck as you start to engage the business to get their buy in and also build a function that is fit for purpose. We do appreciate that at the beginning a lot of your key skills will not be utilised to their full potential and you will initially be getting your hands dirty building a department. Over time though this will become a more strategic role and the key relationships you build at the beginning will be instrumental in allowing you to do this. On top of this we are also looking for:
