Job Description

A hospitality group currently enjoying a period of sustained growth is looking for an engaging and self-motivated learning and development professional to lead its Asia Pacific learning function.

Managing a small team, you will be tasked with creating a training program for all employees across the Asia Pacific region.  To do this, you will work with key business stakeholder to conduct a wide encompassing training needs analysis in order to identify key regional strategic objectives for the curriculum.  You will then work with your team to create and implement a training program that provides effective outcomes across a variety of delivery methods, utilising existing in-country materials and external vendor support where relevant.  As the regional function is recently created, you will establish and implement policies and procedures to ensure the program is cascaded as efficiently and timely as possible.  Implementing best practice, you will support the evaluation of training to ensure business objectives are attained and feedback is obtained for the ongoing training cycle.


The ideal candidate will University educated with a degree in human resources or other business related subject and will possess a sound knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in learning, talent and organisational development.  You will be a self-starter and possess a strong functional expertise across all facets of learning and development.  Additionally you will be a proven multitasker with strong organisation and prioritisation skills.  We are also looking for -

  • Minimum of 15 years’ learning and development experience with previous regional experience in the hospitality industry strongly preferred

  • Outstanding communication and presentations skills with the gravitas to advise and influence the Regional management team

  • Ability to succeed in a rapidly changing, fluid environment
