Job Description
Our client is a global investment firm headquartered in New York. They have c. 1,800 employees across 14 global offices and APAC is key to their growth strategy. This is a newly created role to support the recently appointed Payroll Manager. The key markets for this role are SG, HK, AU, TWN and JPN with headcount across each location.
You will need to maintain the strong business relationships with outsourced payroll providers and ensure that all relevant payroll data is submitted to them with no omission or error. Where required, you will collaborate with the U.S. payroll team. You will also liaise with other departments within and outside of Finance to address questions, collaborate on projects, and address management inquiries. You will assist in the monthly accounting close process by performing balance sheet reconciliations, identification and explanation of variances, and preparation of journal entries. You should stay abreast of changes in taxes and social charges as you will be working with external tax experts to verify appropriate treatment by local vendors. You will also be required to run and prepare reports and analyse data to support the strategic goals of the business.
They are looking for someone who is keen to learn and who will be able to take on more responsibility and tasks as the region grows. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in payroll or general accounting.
