Headquartered in the UK, our client is an established leader among international engineering consultancy firms, looking for a leading regional HR professional to join their team. This individual will head the US-based HR consulting team and provide support across the US Regional Business Groups.

Reporting to the Global HR Director, you will play a critical role in developing regional HR strategies, building relationships with key stakeholders, and supporting business plans appropriated to the firm’s global HR framework. You will mentor and develop team members, support company partners and managers in strategic training and development needs. Your role is as a true generalist, working across recruitment and selection, performance management and development, employee relations and succession planning, HR data reporting and budget analysis, and other ad hoc projects as needed.
As mentioned, the role will have a primary emphasis in the US, but will have global relationships and requires a candidate who possesses a bigger picture, global mindset.
We are ideally looking for someone with a strong generalist background in a professional services firm. We are also looking for an individual who has the depth of HR experience in order to better serve the business, but at the same time, is willing to roll up their sleeves in order to do the operational and implementation aspects of the role. In addition, we are also looking for:
- Relevant degree at Bachelors or higher level
- 8-10 years of experience
- Proven understanding of US employment-related legislation, particularly California labor and employment law
- Expertise in providing HR advisory services to senior leadership teams
