Job Description

Our client is a global diversified conglomerate headquartered in Hong Kong with an impressive commercial track record and proven ability of being able to pivot to meet challenging global economic trends. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HR Manager to take on a regional role within one of the company’s subsidiaries; itself established for over 25 years and with a global footprint across 25 countries.

 

Reporting to the Group HR Director in Hong Kong, the post-holder will support the regional leadership team in Singapore and the country leadership team for the Philippines. This support will ensure Group HR strategies are implemented with the necessary nuances to reflect the specific needs of both the division and local markets from a commercial perspective. You will have the support of a small team and be responsible for a current headcount of 150.

 

You will be a strong HR generalist with the ability to interpret and implement Group policies at a local level. Your focus will be to ensure team members have an exceptional experience at all stages of the employee lifecycle with particular focus on attraction, engagement, talent management and retention. You will oversee HR operations to provide a seamless service across onboarding, employment and offboarding and be happy to be both hands on in terms delivery and strategic in terms of commercial advice.

 

Applicants will have at least 8 years of experience in an HR Generalist role, ideally gained in an industrial setting such as manufacturing, shipping, logistics, oil and gas or mining. You will have worked in an MNC environment to be familiar with the implementation of directives from Group or Head Office and have had prior exposure to a current HRIS system such as WorkDay or SuccessFactors. Confident communication and engagement skills are a given in a standalone capacity and to give credibility with the leadership team as is the desire to continue to learn, grow and develop.
