The Job:

Our Client, a hugely successful and progressive International law firm, are hiring a Resource & Practice Advisor to join one of their Practice teams.  Working closely with Partners and Associates, acting as a trusted advisor to the Practice Area Management Team, you will provide strategic advice on manpower planning and resource management, including the optimization of work allocation and the deployment of lawyers to maximize profitability, along with identifying/supporting their Learning & Development needs. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Provide information and advice in respect of manpower planning and resourcing

Identify appropriate assignments for Senior Associates, incorporating the individuals’ preferences and development goals where possible

Highlight/track resourcing trends and patterns across both the regional offices and globally;  identifying and action inter-office mobility opportunities

Organize Partner meetings, Team meetings and AGMs  

Ensure continued operational enhancement across the firm

Work with the firm’s Business Services team to facilitate first class service, delivery and Best Practice

Provide assistance and support with ad hoc projects as and when needed

Ensure annual appraisal and career development plans are implemented and regularly reviewed

 

Skills/Experience:

A recruitment background with the desire to move in to the resource allocation field; Professional Services background preferred

University educated : HR qualifications an advantage but not essential 

Authentic and articulate communication style 

Genuine interest working/excelling in a Customer Service focused environment

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

Proactive and self-disciplined : able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Strong influencing and problem solving skills

Proven ability to build and maintain strong internal and external working relationships
