Our client, one of the world’s foremost banks, is seeking a global mobility expert with strong expatriate tax knowledge to take on a key role within their APAC team.

Based in the regional hub of Hong Kong, you will manage relationships with assignees, HR business partners, the business and vendors for global mobility across Asia Pacific. Alongside case-by-case consultative service, you will develop and implement higher-level international assignments strategy and policy. Additionally, you will be the designated subject matter expert for expatriate tax management, ranging from structuring and regulatory compliance, to counselling on individual tax optimisations and vendor management with consultancies.
The successful candidate will be a knowledgeable and strategic global mobility professional with sound knowledge of salary tax in the APAC region. They will have excellent communication and relationship management skills to deal with assignees, as well as experience managing tax/mobility vendors and working with HRBPs across diverse jurisdictions.
Further, the successful candidate will specifically demonstrate:
• A minimum of seven years in a global mobility with large, complex firms, including exposure to Asia-Pacific
• A strong background in expatriate tax, either in consulting or in-house
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Degree qualification in a relevant discipline
