As a Global Benefits & Retirement Senior Specialist - EMEA, you will be responsible for making recommendations to management regarding benefit and retirement program updates related to local legislative updates / requirements, claims processes, and supporting local and expatriate attorneys and staff. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the local Human Resources teams to support the benefit and retirement programs in the EMEA offices and ensure that firm programs and resources are being appropriately communicated to build and sustain engagement.

  • Acting as a point of contact for benefits and pension plan questions from attorneys, paralegals, and staff in the EMEA offices.

  • Acting as a subject matter expert for the Global Benefits & Retirement Department team members in interpreting firm policies (e.g., eligibility, leave of absence) and complying with local regulations and qualified status changes (QSC).

  • Leading global benefits and retirement projects for the firm as it relates to supporting attorneys and staff in the firms EMEA offices; and Leading new hire orientation and offboarding for local and expatriate attorneys and staff.

  • Ensuring compliance and proper documentation with regard to all applicable laws and regulations. Providing expertise related to the regulatory and legal requirements for employee benefit and retirement plans to employers and employees.



A comprehensive knowledge of the terms and conditions of health and welfare plans to ensure the proper administration by insurers and vendors.

  • Knowledge of regulations and guidelines, including Leaves of Absence.

  • Knowledge of benefit practices.


And have:

  • Well-developed and professional interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm; and an ability to work in a team environment with a customer service focus.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; and HRIS systems experience.

  • Confidence and discipline to work independently and autonomously; and provide concise and specific recommendations to firm management.
