Our client, a reputable international bank, is seeking a senior HR leader to manage the full HR function for their Hong Kong business.

As the Head of HR, you will have broad responsibilities for all people matters in Hong Kong, ranging from the development of HR strategy in areas like employer branding, talent management and engagement, to oversight of day-to-day HR operations. Managing a mid-sized team of HR generalists and specialists, you will ensure that all aspects of the function are working efficiently and effectively, seize any opportunities to improve HR processes and outcomes, and educate the business on what the department can do for them. You will report to the Hong Kong CEO, and interface closely with other senior business leaders as well as group HR.
The successful candidate will be a proven HR leader with a strong track record managing teams. They will be a ‘generalist’ in their approach – able to add value and coach subordinates across all areas of HR, not just ‘business partnering’. Although they will be a strategic thinker, with a commercial outlook on HR strategy, they will be very hands on and comfortable stepping in to handle HR operations at any level where needed.
Further, the successful candidate will specifically demonstrate:
• At least 15 years of prior HR experience in multinational firms
• Team management experience
• Knowledge of HR compliance requirements in the banking sector
• Fluent English and Cantonese
