Stuart Elliott

CEO and Owner

Location: London

Stuart founded Elliott Scott in 2011, growing it from a small Hong Kong office to a global firm with locations in Singapore, New York, São Paulo, Delhi and London, where he is now based.

Previously a financial broker, he moved into HR recruitment in 2004 and was later ranked Asia’s top HR recruiter for three consecutive years. He remains actively involved in senior HR hiring, bringing energy, competitiveness and a hands-on approach to the business.

Emily Ramji

Global COO

Location: London

Emily is the Chief Operating Officer for Elliott Scott, working with Stuart and the management team to drive strategy, business performance, and operations, with a focus on staff development and efficiency. She joined in 2014, initially leading growth in Asia before returning to London in 2016 to take on the global COO role.

With experience in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and the UK, Emily has held senior HR roles across various industries, including Mercer and Fujitsu. A Chartered CIPD member and accredited coach, she is also a Board Trustee for Yes Futures and a mum of two.

Phillip Welburn

Managing Director, Asia Pacific

Location: Hong Kong

Phillip is the co-founder and co-owner of Elliott Scott. As Managing Director for Asia Pacific, he leads and oversees our teams across Asia, driving talent strategy and executive recruitment for Elliott Scott, ES Corporate Functions and Charlotte Frank teams. With an extensive regional network and deep industry expertise, Phillip specialise in placing top-tier leadership across multiple industries.

Based in Hong Kong, Phillip brings over 17 years of recruitment experience in Asia, successfully connecting top talent with leading organisations across Asia Pacific and the Middle East. His passion lies in financial services, where he partners closely with CHROs and senior executives to identify and secure the region’s best talent. Whether navigating dynamic market shifts or building high-performing teams, Phill thrives on delivering impactful, long-term hiring solutions.

Rosh Jayawardena

Managing Director, North America

Location: New York

In 2015, Rosh assumed leadership of Elliott Scott’s North American business, focusing on senior HR professional recruitment through retained searches. Formerly an HR Business Partner at General Electric, he leveraged his HR career into recruiting HR professionals globally, bringing 15 years of experience. Committed to delivering top talent, Roshan successfully serves key clients in various industries, including global financial and professional services firms.

Gaurav Yadav

Director, India

Location: Delhi

Gaurav leads Elliott Scott in India, recruiting senior HR talent across industries. After joining in 2019, he relocated from Singapore to Delhi to establish the brand locally while supporting regional and global clients.

With expertise in talent acquisition strategies, market mapping and stakeholder management, he excels at finding top passive candidates. Previously based in Singapore, he recruited across Southeast Asia for industries including Consumer Electronics, Oil & Gas and Manufacturing.

Kirstin Hunt

Managing Director, UK and EMEA

Location: London

Kirstin leads Elliott Scott in the UK and Europe, expanding the brand’s presence in the region. Before joining in 2016, she spent 15 years at Michael Page, leading Financial Services and HR recruitment teams.

With international experience in the UK and Asia Pacific, Kirstin provides strategic direction to HR professionals, specialising in senior HR roles across Financial Services. She builds strong relationships, delivering high-quality candidates who become future leaders.

Paul Watson

Managing Director, South East Asia

Location: Singapore

Paul is the Managing Director for South East Asia, developing Elliott Scott’s presence in the region. With over 20 years in HR and recruitment, he relocated to Asia in 2012 and specialises in senior-level appointments for local and global organisations.

A seasoned HR expert, Paul has led senior searches and advised on market trends and career planning. Before joining Elliott Scott HR, he was Global Head of TA for a NASDAQ-listed fintech firm and Head of People for a tech company, bringing both in-house and search expertise to his role.
